(“Edité,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) processes personal information provided to us or collected when you access our website at https://theedite.com and/or use our personalized styling services, including when you book personal video and in-person consultations (“Consultations”) with expert fashion stylists and editors (collectively, the “Stylists”) through our website, register to receive our marketing communications, engage with us on social media, and access any other online services where this Privacy Policy is posted (collectively, the “Services”). It also describes how we process personal information provided or collected when you interact with us offline, such as when you contact our customer service team.
This Privacy Policy covers Edité’s activities in Canada (excluding Québec) and in the United States. Sometimes the privacy legislation and / or an individual’s right to privacy are different from one jurisdiction to another. Consequently, the rights and obligations contained in this Privacy Policy may not be available to all individuals or in all jurisdictions. In this Privacy Policy, personal information means information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual or as otherwise defined under applicable law.

We collect communications information and content you provide when you sign-up to receive marketing communications and communicate with us about a customer service issue or to make other inquiries. Customer Content. We collect information and content you provide or make available in our public forums (like online message boards, social and wellness community environments, and other forums that do not have a restricted audience) and when you provide feedback or service reviews, respond to surveys, or use features of our Services which may require the collection of certain personal information to utilize the features. We may also collect information and content when you engage with us on social media (like when you tag us or our services or allow us to follow your social media profile). Corporate Affiliates. We may disclose personal information with our corporate affiliates, including our parent company, sister companies, and subsidiaries. Such corporate affiliates process personal information on our behalf as our service providers, where necessary to provide the services that you have requested.

If you are a customer of ours and have not otherwise opted out (or with your consent where required by applicable law), or if you have opted in to receive direct marketing emails from us, we may use your personal information to send you marketing information about our Service, including, but not limited to new stylists, new features of Edité Service, and/or other services of Edité and/or Stylists that we think may interest you.
9. Cross-border Transfer of Personal Information
Your personal information may be transferred to, or processed in, countries or provinces other than the country or province you are resident, including jurisdictions outside Canada and the United States, and be accessible to the law enforcement and national security authorities of those jurisdictions. However, before transferring or processing your personal information in foreign country or province we have taken required safeguard such that third parties provide adequate and/or substantially the same protection of information as those set forth herein.

If we learn that personal information of persons under 18 years of age has been collected on or through Edité Service or otherwise provided to us, then we may deactivate the account or otherwise terminate access to Edité Service and/or make the content and/or information inaccessible.
